What kind of training did you complete Kim?

Alongside completing my training in hairdressing and all-round hairstyling, I have also acquired multiple certifications. These include expertise in barber shaving and fading, dermatology focusing on skin and hair conditions, specialized color techniques, and proficiency in Funky hair styling.

What makes you a different hair dresser?

I pride myself on my attentive listening skills, ensuring I fully understand my clients' needs and desires. This allows me to offer personalized advice and treatment plans tailored to each individual. By fostering open communication and explaining my process to achieve the perfect outcome, I aim to create a warm and trusting environment for my clients. Specializing in coloring, highlighting, cutting for both women and men, as well as shaving, fading, and beard grooming, I bring a wealth of experience from various salon settings. My friendly demeanor and focus on customer satisfaction are what make every visit feel like catching up with a friend.

What makes you really happy about your clients at Snip It?

I feel immense joy when my mission is accomplished. My clients often notice a wide smile on my face as I near completion of their haircut. There's something magical about a well-executed haircut or a stunning new color that brings happiness. After all, we face ourselves in the mirror every day. When your hair looks great, it instantly boosts your mood. Making people happy with their appearance gives me a warm feeling inside, and what could be better than that? Happiness radiates from within, but a well-cut hairstyle and a beautiful, fresh color enhance that happiness outwardly.

So, what about the future of Snip It? Do you have any dreams for your business?

It's not just about running a cozy salon; I want to offer more to the people of Bonaire. I'd love to provide classes for both men's and women's hair cutting. Currently, there's no vocational training available for this on the island. It would be amazing to have the opportunity to train someone in this way. Perhaps they could join me as a colleague or help others by cutting their families' hair. My ultimate and biggest dream is to open a salon franchise. Here in Bonaire, but also on other islands. This means expanding with skilled staff who are aligned with the same vision!

Is there more you’d like to share?

Outside of the salon I'm a passionate football fan, proudly supporting my hometown club FC Twente. In my leisure time, I love to go scuba diving, do bolas, and gym.
